Before moving to Kauai in 2016, Dr. Lewis practiced optometry in Houston, Texas. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry, then completed her residency in Primary Care Optometry with a focus on ocular disease. She currently works at Crane Eye Care in Lihue, Kauai where she is the therapeutic optometrist, director of education, and clinical staff coordinator. She is an active Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, committee member to the Comprehensive Eye Care Section, Vice-Chair to the Nutrition, Disease Prevention and Wellness Special Interest Group, and is now pursuing Diplomate status in the Comprehensive Eye Care section of the Academy, demonstrating her dedication to lifelong learning. Dr. Lewis provides comprehensive eye care for all ages and specializes in the detection and treatment of eye diseases, including autoimmune disease. She strives to incorporate evidence based medical treatments as well as modifications of environmental influences in the management of her patients. When she’s not caring for her patients, Dr. Lewis enjoys spending time with her family and her pets. She is an avid reader, but also loves to be outdoors, hiking and enjoying nature.
Dr. Lewis is a wonderful addition to the Medical Advisory Council and has been working hard to raise awareness and educate in Hawaii since moving to Kauai in 2016!
